Quentin Hills

Quentin Hills is a Managing Principal of Vanbridge and Head of Capital Advisory Solutions, focusing on structured credit solutions.

Prior to joining Vanbridge, Quentin was Managing Director of MMC Securities Corp and Global Head of the Financial Risk Products practice, focusing on alternative credit and weather risk management solutions. He pioneered the groundbreaking program for CA that replaced $7.5bn Workers’ Compensation-related collateral (Letters of Credit, surety and cash) for approximately 350 individual self-insurers with a portfolio-based solution. He collaborated closely with regulators to develop enabling legislation and an appropriate regulatory framework. Quentin also developed customized risk transfer instruments, including double-trigger CDS and tailored credit insurance.

Prior to joining MMC Securities, he worked for Merrill Lynch Hong Kong, where he headed the structuring and solutions group for Asia ex-Japan. Before that, Quentin spent six years as Managing Director and Regional Head of Structured Products and Investor Marketing for Citibank Asia, where he built the derivatives structuring and marketing business across 11 countries and established Citi as No. 1 in Asia. The primary focus was on major and local currency interest rate and currency derivatives. Citi was instrumental in developing cross-border local capital markets, including groundbreaking Asian currency bond issues for supra-nationals in TWD, KRW, PHP and HKD.

Quentin is originally from New Zealand. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Auckland and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School.
