The Annual Bloody Bull Invitational

Less than an hour from Manhattan, the Hudson National experience awaits, taking invited guests worlds away from the hectic pace of everyday life. The sleepy village of Croton-on-Hudson provides an idyllic setting for Vanbridge’s exclusive, Annual Bloody Bull Invitational Golf tournament.

Friendship, camaraderie and memories built around the grand old game will unfold on Hudson’s championship layout, crafted by the artful hand of Tom Fazio and currently ranked 85th in the United States and 12th in NY State by Golf Digest.

Invited guests are treated to a pre-tournament lunch on the upper patio, and a spectacular private dinner after golf on the expansive terrace overlooking the Hudson River Valley.  The evening concludes with the perfect ending to a perfect day…live music, hand rolled cigars and cordials by the fire.

What exactly is a Bloody Bull anyway?


  • 2 fl. oz. vodka
  • 2 fl. oz. tomato juice
  • 2 fl. oz. beef bouillon
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Pinch of freshly ground pepper
  • Pinch of celery salt
  • 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of hot sauce, such as Tabasco
  • 1 lemon wedge for garnish


Pour the vodka, tomato juice, beef bouillon and lemon juice into a shaker two-thirds full of ice cubes. Add the pepper, celery salt, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Add the lemon wedge. Drink!
